What an unusual month we have had here in Seattle. Warm (55-58) and sunny! Yesterday it was glorious and we took full advantage outdoors for our first field lesson for the year. The horses and kids were frisky and happy to soak up some well-needed Vitamin D.
During the Summer, we try to spend as much time as possible outdoors in our obstacle field to build skills needed on the trails or just for fun in the sun. Last Summer we had to cancel lessons when the temp soared above 105. That is record heat here and not fun for kids or our horse friends. We are fortunate the rest of the year to have lessons in a covered arena.
