Gina Frank holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Barry University in Miami Shores, Fl. After graduating in 2005, she began her work in the field of addiction working for 6 years as an addictions counselor in both the youth and adult outpatient teams at an agency in Montreal, QC, Canada. She has extensive knowledge in treating dual diagnosis (those who suffer from both a substance use disorder and other mental illness).
Her work included family counseling and running an 8 week parent support group. In 2011, while on maternity leave, she completed additional coursework in the field of psychological trauma and obtained a Trauma-Informed Foundation Certificate from the University at Buffalo while volunteering at TeenFeed (A homeless shelter in Seattle) working as a youth advocate.
In 2017, she became a licensed mental health counselor in Washington State and opened her Redmond-based private practice, focusing her work solely in the field of substance use disorders and offering both individual and family support. She continues to complete clinical training in the field of trauma so she can specialize in the treatment of both addiction & trauma.
