What is it?
While schools are closed, bring your child (ages 8-12) for safe, outdoor, coronavirus-conscious time at the barn! Our part- and full-day camp options include stable care, horse-related activities, and other fun and games, as well as tutoring from trained professionals.
Please know that we are very aware of the coronavirus risk and are doing all we can to minimize it here at the barn. “Stable Study” Camps are inspired by state and federal community health recommendations and overseen by our Chief Nursing Officer Robyn (a registered nurse). To that end, we are taking the following precautions:
Healthy groups: All of our groups have no more than 8 students and we require that students be cough-, sniff-, and fever-free in order to attend! For students with allergies, please use allergy medication to eliminate symptoms.
Social distancing and personal hygiene training: Learn what 6′ of distance looks like, how to cough into your elbow, how long to effectively wash your hands! All students will maintain social distancing of minimum 6 feet during activities.
Safe surfaces and protective wear: We’re giving away gloves for each student with fabric that is easily disinfected. All students get their first pair of gloves free, which we disinfect regularly (our instructors are wearing them too!). Additionally, each child has their own designated space for activities and their personal belongings to minimize the potential spread of germs.
Outdoor environment: Time to make like a horse and hang out outside! All of our activity areas are naturally well ventilated and we’re keeping all participants out of any enclosed spaces with other humans.
We know, however, that it is impossible for an organization to guarantee the absence of risk. We are using best practices and will continue to proactively monitor state and federal advisories. This opportunity is at your discretion.
How does it work?
Stable Study Camps have three enrollment options:
Study-Only ($30/hour), 11am – 1pm
Please bring your assigned school-work or online learning materials and our trained tutors will help! 1-2 hours available. Note: We do not provide original study materials. Please bring materials that need support.
Stable-Only ($60/day), 10am – 3pm
Focus on the barn activities! Spend the day on stable care, games, and horse-related fun.
Stable & Study ($90/day) 10am – 3pm
All the fun of the Stable-Only option, with 1 or 2 hours of tutoring in the mix.
How do I register?
Please fill out the form below with your chosen date and option. Stay tuned! Registration for future weeks will be available as we respond to evolving remote learning programs by local school districts.
Please Note: In order to make these camps possible, all camps have a 48-hour cancellation period, including for sick campers. We’re using the best practices we can to keep everyone safe. We appreciate your cooperation.
